Environmental Protection Authority Victoria, ESG Statement - 2024
In this project, I had the privilege of collaborating with the Environmental Protection Authority Victoria to create an impactful Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) statement. This document outlines the EPA's commitments to sustainable and ethical practices for the next few years, but my approach aimed to do more than just convey information—it sought to resonate with the people of Victoria, the very beneficiaries of these commitments.
A Visual Narrative of Diversity and Inclusion
Understanding the importance of inclusivity, I chose to employ character-based illustration as the cornerstone of this project. Through vibrant and diverse illustrations, I captured the essence of Victoria's population—embracing individuals of all ages, genders, abilities, and races. This visual narrative not only reflects the rich tapestry of Victoria's communities but also underscores the EPA's dedication to serving and protecting every member of society.
Elevating Brand Identity with Innovation
Introducing illustration into the EPA's branding repertoire was an exciting endeavor—one that breathed new life into their visual identity. By seamlessly integrating illustrations with existing brand elements, I was able to elevate the EPA's brand presence while imbuing it with a fresh and engaging dimension.
Building an Illustration Library for Engagement
From the foundation laid by the ESG statement, I expanded the project to develop a comprehensive illustration library. This versatile resource serves as a catalyst for engagement, empowering the EPA to convey complex ideas with clarity and creativity across various communication channels— from social media to
printed collateral and presentations.
A Personal Journey towards Impactful Design
This project encapsulates my commitment to leveraging design as a powerful tool for positive change. As a designer, my goal is not only to create visually stunning work but also to inspire, inform, and connect with audiences on a deeper level.
