The Food Act states that all businesses much serve food that is safe and suitable, but the term suitable was hard to understand exactly what was meant, thats where these videos came from. These were made to similly explain the difference between safe and suitable in a clear and easy to understand way, even for people with poor english language skills. They are aimed at NZ food businesses but also have a wider appeal to the public with the cute native bird characters, the Kiwi and the Kakapo. I did the whole process from character design, story boarding , the after effects animation and sourcing sound effects.
